The Left Has No Humor Left

Over the past few years it has become increasingly obvious that the Left in this country (not talking about mere democrats or liberals out there) has lost all sense of humor and self awareness. It was clear it had already started by the time SNL had it’s the endless, and I do mean endless, Trump sketches. Alec Baldwin, though his impression wasn’t terrible did it SO often that people stopped watching it. This isn’t to say that SNL didn’t have its share of funny sketches at the time. They just failed to realize that they were beating the already decomposed horse that was “Donald Trump is dumb humor”. It continued with CNN taking all of the President’s tweets totally seriously. So seriously, Christian Fundamentalists were even complaining that the President was being taken out of context. All humor aside, tweets like the pinned tweet on his twitter just trolling CNN with them saying that Hurricane Dorian would be “hitting states like…Alabama”. The CNN feed that is used in the tweet is old yes. Don Lemon from CNN made sure to let his viewership know that in trying to fact check the President. So to Mr. Lemon I also say: you are missing the point of the tweet. The tweet is not to be factual but to troll you into looking crazy and mad. How do I know that the pinned tweet is a troll, you ask? Because at the very end of the video it shows a car with the CNN logo on it crashing and burning. Ha! The latest instance of this is the new “controversial” Dave Chappelle comedy special on Netflix. The Left media went after the special with headlines that read “What happened to Dave Chappelle: the cruelty of ‘Sticks and Stones’ is a sign of the times”. Did you get that? That was from a writer at Salon. “A sign of the times” said writer Melanie McFarland. How much more of a grandiose statement can you make? Another headline criticizing the special: “You Can Definitely Skip Dave Chappelle's New Netflix Special 'Sticks & Stones'”. This one was from Vice. Interestingly enough, Vice got its start being a counterculture type of website – hence the name “vice” which literally means immoral or wicked behavior. Nowadays, the website has become the usual “social justice warrior” virtue signaling nonsense; you know how it is, claiming the moral high ground and all. Several critics gave the special horrible reviews on Rotten Tomatoes 6 out of the first 6 that rated the special gave it poor marks crash-landing the special at a astonishing 0 percent critics score with no audience score at the time to counter these opinions. When the audience reviews came out, the results were less than shocking with the special hitting 99 percent audience score. Showing not only that the critics that have been acclaimed for so long as being the arbiters of good content have lost all credibility on rating such content. What were the critics so mad about? What did Chappelle say to offend these people, you ask? The answer: make fun of EVERYBODY. Which just so happens to include the LGBT community, mainly the “T’s” as Chappelle referred to trans people in his special. This is one of the funniest parts of this though. The joke itself was about them getting offended by everything. So what did they do? They got offended by a joke saying that they get offended by everything. Reality really has hit a snag somewhere. It seems as though today South Park is reality itself. So it seems more and more like we can either be a character on the show and cry about it how crazy things are or be a spectator and cry laughing at how crazy things are.
